Four ways to help.

We have working prototypes, not a product yet. Pick the way that fits you.

Pick your way in.

  1. Share your experience

Have you carried water, run short of it or lived through a water cut? Tell us what happened, in a few lines.

    Tell us what happened

We may write back. We quote you only if you say we can.

  2. Register pilot interest

For groups that could test the pack where water is hard to get: outdoor clubs, disaster preparedness teams, field researchers, aid groups. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

    Join the pilot list

We write when the full pack is ready to test.

  3. Build with us

For engineers, researchers and makers who know heat and cooling, surfaces and materials, water testing or making hardware.

    Write to the team

We reply with what we are working on now, and see where you fit.

  4. Support development

For funders and sponsors, and anyone who can lend equipment, lab time or an introduction.

    Offer support

We reply with what the next build needs and what your support would go to.

Write to us.

After you write

  1. You send the draft.

Nothing leaves this page until you press send in your own email app.

  2. We reply by email.

One of the four of us reads your message.

  3. We agree a next step.

A call, a visit or a place on a list. You can stop at any time.

How a pilot works.

A pilot is a test we run together, in a real setting, once the full pack is ready. We start with hikers and emergency kits in Japan, then field researchers and humanitarian teams, and later communities where water is carried in.

What we bring

  • HydroBeetle packs for the test, and the team to run them with you.
  • A written measurement plan, agreed with you first.
  • A joint report of every result.

What a partner brings

  • A real setting where water is hard to come by.
  • Records of the temperature, humidity and site conditions.
  • Honest feedback from the people who use it.

Questions.

Can I buy one?

Not yet. HydroBeetle is still being built and is not for sale. Join the pilot list and we will write when there is a pack to test.

When could a pilot start?

Once the full pack is ready. We are talking to partners now, so that the first test fits a real setting.

What would a pilot cost, and how long would it run?

It depends on your setting. We agree the plan, the length and the costs with you before we start.

Will you publish the results of a pilot?

Yes, all of them, including what did not work. We agree the report with you first.

What do you do with my message?

We use it to reply to you and, if you ask, to send you updates. We do not pass it on. The privacy page has the details.
