How this site handles your information.

Last updated ·

HydroBeetle is a student-led, pre-incorporation project. This note explains, in plain language, what happens to information when you use this site or write to us.

What this site collects

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and it has no form that sends data to a server.

The contact form and the updates button open an email draft in your own email app. Nothing is sent until you send that email yourself.

The site remembers your language choice and your dark mode setting in your browser’s local storage. Those settings stay on your device.

Hosting

Like any website, the hosting provider receives the technical data that every page request carries, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the page.

Email you send us

Email goes to hydrobeetlestartup@gmail.com, a Gmail inbox run by the founding team. We use what you send to reply to you and, if you ask for updates, to send them.

Your email address is not sold or passed on to anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as the conversation needs it. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Who is responsible

The founding team, Team HydroBeetle, is responsible for this site and the inbox. HydroBeetle is not a company yet and is not owned or operated by the University of Tokyo.

Changes and contact

If anything here changes, this page will say so and the date above will change. Questions about your information: hydrobeetlestartup@gmail.com.
